Well everyone it’s true I am back to “cyberspace.” I am sorry for my disappearance for the last couple of months; and I apologize to all my regular readers for the lack of content on this blog. However I haven’t been idle, a lot has been going on since my last post and I mean a lot has been going on.
For starters, I opened a new training facility where I now conduct all of my training sesssion. I absolutely love it, and the best part is so do my clients.

This was a huge undertaking for me, and I learned a lot during the process. Going into the move I thought I had a pretty good idea of how everything was going to go. Boy was I wrong, things that I had never thought about were popping up every time I turned around. Having said that, the cool thing is everything turned out great. Now looking back, I stressed out about a lot of things needlessly. Now when I take a step back I realize it really went very well.
I took a valuable lesson from this project that has really carried over into my trainning, and it’s this, sometimes we are so involved into our body transformation / performance goals, that it begins to consume us. We worry about every little things from one meal to the next, from one workout to next. Have I lost any weight, can I see any changes yet; not realizing that sometimes we just have to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Take a little time to look at where you started from, see how much stronger you have gotten, look at how much healthier you now are, identify the changes that have occurred in your body and/or performance. Start to take the positives that you have achieved, and use them to help to continue down your road of success.
My advice to people all the time is: to be successful long term you have to be consistent with anything you do. You have to realize that along the way you will have some slip ups; don’t stress about them, deal them and get back on track. Sound pretty simple right? Well it is, I recently learned first hand that sometimes we make things more difficult for a ourselves. Here is an example I use with my clients all the time, if you eat 7 times a day, that means you will eat 49 time in a week. If you were compliant to your meal plan 90% of the time, which is very good and will produce excellent results, you would have 5 meals out of the 49 that will not be that good. Many people focus on the 5 non compliant meals instead of focusing on the other 44 good choices. At that rate you ate correctly 90% of the time, that’s pretty good!
Simply put, let’s shift our focus to the positive from now on. Don’t look at what you can’t do, focus on what you can do. If you’re struggling with your program then lean on me to help. You’re not alone on this journey to achieve your fitness goal. I’m happy to help; and I promise I’m going to to do my best to make sure that I am not lost again.
Till next time
Train hard and remember “Stay Fit You’ll Better.”
